In Jokob Wickert founded his own company for the production of presses in Landau, Germany. On the 4th of May the company “Maschinen-Fabrik J. Wickert“ started out with 8 journeymen and 5 apprentices. The two sons Hans and Jakob Wickert join the company. Company name changed to J. Wickert und Söhne.
