Kenny Ball, the British jazz trumpeter, has died at the age of 82 after suffering from pneumonia. His manager, Les Squire, said that Ball passed away in hospital yesterday with his family present. Ball was famous as the lead trumpet player in the Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen band in the late 1950s and 1960s.
